Gil Alderete: 1:13
Hello, and welcome to another episode of men of faith on spirit filled radio, part of spirit filled hearts ministry. I'm excited today we're recording from the eighth floor of the tower of hope at Christ cathedral. We celebrated mass this morning. And today I have a special guest I had the vice president of Catholic Men's Fellowship of California, Francisco Munoz, and today we're going to talk about spiritual resolutions versus bodily resolutions. I want to start by introducing Francisco Munoz and tell us a two minute little biography of yourself, Francisco.
Francisco Munoz: 1:53
Two minutes. That's all I have. No, to try to fit in 62 years of in two minutes. No, but I'm a changed man. And I'm a changed man. Because day by day, I try to make that a resolution a day to day resolution. And that's pretty much what we're going to talk about today. I started this this resolutions quest back about a little over 20 years ago, when the conversion came about. That's what I call my U turn. I'm still making the turn though.
Gil Alderete: 2:28
Okay, it's right. It's yeah,
Francisco Munoz: 2:30
I'm still doing the U turn.
Gil Alderete: 2:32
Are you around the bend? slightly, slightly.
Francisco Munoz: 2:37
But it's been a slow process. You know, it's it's been a long and arduous process. But I know that I'm making strides. I'm making strides to make differences in my life on a day to day basis, you know, and it's these daily decisions that have helped me get to where I am today.
Gil Alderete: 2:55
Where did your faith background come from? How did you start your faith walk with our Lord?
Francisco Munoz: 3:00
Well, you know, it's, it's been, you know, the typical Catholic, cradle Catholic, mom and dad brought us up all Catholic, we went to Catholic grammar school, my siblings and I went to Catholic grammar school, Catholic High School. But then as pretty much everyone does, or most everyone, you know, the world catches up to you and invites you in different paths. And as a result, you know, I pretty much got lost in the world, even though even though God had a path for me, I went, you know, different ways, in different ways. Every now and again, I would hear His voice. I heed his warnings. Right. And I come back on on to the right path. One of those is marrying my, my wife of now. 37 years. Yeah, I heard that one. I heard that voice. That voice.
Gil Alderete: 3:56
Yeah, Diane was calling. Oh, absolute. Well, not so
Francisco Munoz:
